We are pleased to announce a new collaboration with the Canada-France-Hawaii Telescope to allow Canadian teachers to connect their classrooms live with an astronomer in Hawaii.
This 3.6-meter telescope, located on the Big Island of Hawaii, has been a world leader in astronomical research for nearly 40 years. Canada plays a major role since its inception and many Canadian astronomers are currently working there.
We hope this new opportunity will allow Canadian students to learn not only about the cutting-edge research being done in an observatory, but also that astronomers are people like you and me, passionate about their work.
