New partnership with the Dunlap Institute

Updated: Apr 19, 2019

We are very pleased to announce our new partnership with the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics at the University of Toronto. As of January 2016, they are now our main supporter and partner. We wish to thank them for their support and confidence in our program. If you would like to know more about their interest in joining Discover the Universe, you can read a page (p.22) in their last annual report. We are glad this prestigious research centre has decided to invest in astronomy training for teachers across Canada.

We also wish to thank the Canadian Astronomical Society for their ongoing support since we started our program in 2011. In addition, we continue to collaborate with Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and the Federation des astronomes amateurs du Quebec.

Will this new partnership affect the programs offered by Discover the Universe?

The only changes are: more webinars, more activities and more resources for teachers and informal educators across Canada and beyond! Everything we do will continue to be offered in English in French.
