About the Workshop

Webinar presented by Nathalie Ouellette, Outreach Scientist for Webb in Canada

Wednesday, February 2 at 7pm eastern (UTC-5)

The James Webb Space Telescope is a marvel of human ingenuity, and the images it will produce could revolutionize our understanding of the universe. Astronomers around the world have been eagerly awaiting its launch (completed on December 25, 2021) so they can start using its data in the coming months.

To give us the details on the Webb telescope, we’re happy to have Nathalie Ouellette, Outreach Scientist for Webb in Canada as our guest speaker. She will explain why expectations are so high and how Canadian astronomers helped make it happen.

We will be hearing a lot about this telescope in the coming years, so join us in getting to know it better and feel prepared to talk to your students about it!

A recording of the webinar will be available to registered participants
