About the Workshop

Have you seen the National Film Board's new docuseries North Star which features the astrophysicist Laurie Rousseau-Nepton? Did you know there is a teaching guide that goes with it?

We're presenting videos and activities over the coming weeks to help you integrate the docuseries and resources into your classroom. Each week, you'll receive an email with new content for you to go over at your leisure, culminating in a live session with Laurie Rousseau-Nepton geared toward your students!

By registering, you will have access to:

  • short videos explaining the teaching guide and the different activities in it (we helped develop it!);
  • help if you have questions about the guide or the science featured in the series;
  • a live meeting with Laurie for your students on Tuesday, October 17 (***new date***) at 1:30 eastern. A recording will be available.

As the series is aimed at youths aged 12 to 17, we invite secondary school teachers to register for this activity, but everyone is welcome!

This activity is presented in collaboration with the National Film Board of Canada and the Dunlap Institute for Astronomy and Astrophysics
