Ambassador Application

Thank you for your interest in becoming a Discover the Universe Ambassador! We’re excited to work with you to support astronomy education in your classroom, your community, and beyond. This is an ongoing, volunteer-based role, but it’s designed to be flexible. You’re welcome to step away at any time if needed—though we encourage Ambassadors to stay involved for at least one year, so we can build something meaningful together and make the most of your time and contributions.

Every applicant will be considered for our Ambassador Program. Through training opportunities and working with us over time, there are options to increase your involvement with Discover the Universe.

Ambassadors are expected to:

  • Promote Discover the Universe: share social media posts, promote events, and discuss Discover the Universe within your school(s) and community.

  • Provide feedback: Participate in regular feedback sessions as part of a Community of Practice, providing insights on how our materials are being received, any challenges you or your colleague’s face, and suggest potential improvements.

Benefits of becoming an Ambassador include:

  • Join a national network of like-minded educators passionate about astronomy and sciences

  • Participate in feedback sessions that shape the future of astronomy education in Canada

  • Receive official recognition as a Discover the Universe Ambassador

  • Get tools and materials to help you share Discover the Universe with your school and community

Please contact Lindsay at contact@discovertheuniverse.ca if you have any questions about the Ambassador’s program or this form.

Note: After you submit, you will receive an email confirming your application.
