About The Workshop

Presented in collaboration with the Friends of the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory

March 2, 2021, at 6:30pm Eastern - 3:30pm Pacific.

How do we observe the stars? What are the challenges faced by all astronomers who want to look at the sky, whether for fun or for research? In this webinar, we will discuss how we observe the sky, the tools used (from the eyes to telescopes), and educational activities to teach these topics to your students. These activities are part of ExoExplorations, a series of educational guides recently developed by the Friends of the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory in Victoria, B.C. This webinar will be presented by Calvin Schmidt, project manager for the ExoExplorations series.
